No, I don't think that light pollution has changed the way I sleep. On a typical night when I'm not bombarded with homework from every single one of my classes, I get upward of 7 hours, but with homework probably about 4. Also my shades and fan help me a lot. I think it’s not light pollution, it's really noise pollution that would affect my sleep the most. I can’t normally sleep when there's light outside. It has to be completely dark. Other people might be affected if they live in bigger cities than Kalamazoo. I think light pollution will affect them more. I believe that the more light in your room while you sleep affects sleep. So I make sure to black out any extra light from the street and from the outside in general, from getting into my room. Maybe T.V. in peoples rooms might affect the amount of hours they get.

I always try to get in my 8 hours of sleep every night but it is not always possible. Sometimes my neighbor will leave their light on and my window is the nearest to them. so sometimes the night will go through my window. I like to sleep in total darkness, I can't sleep when there is light on. Lived in California, I can say there is light pollution and it affects people. In the place where I lived, there wasn't much light. whenever I go to a big city like LA, or San Diego. The whole area is alive as if the sun never set. Definitely made people have a different sleep schedule since most of the stores, grocery stores, and restaurants are open 24/7.
