From the essay all I can see is us making this world worse and all the good that we do is just trying to fix our mistakes. We have too many types of pollution that's just slowly killing our earth. We have air pollution, we have fast fashion that fills our landfills, we have deforestation that does not help air pollution in any way. People are still poaching, and we pollute our waters. As much as i'd like to say i see people doing something about this and helping change i don't see it as much as we should. We are killing our ecosystems and all of our beautiful native species are slowly dying out due to food webs dying out or migrating.

Humans have definitely changed the planet a lot in our years as the dominant species, and definitely not for the better. Most of the good things we do nowadays are just trying to fix mistakes we've made in the past. There are definitely a lot of things that we have affected that will have much more dire consequences than light pollution. We've destroyed nature and killed off so many species of wildlife. It is in our best interest to worry about the way we live, because at the end of the day, the main thing that we are dooming is ourselves. So many people say that we need to save the planet, when the real thing we need to save is ourselves. The planet is a big hunk of rock hurtling through space. Earth will be fine however far into the future you go. However we might not be in the picture a thousand years from now. With global warming weather effects are going to keep getting stronger and it's going to become harder and harder to get all of the resources we need to survive.

What first comes to mind for me when you think about what humans have done to affect the planet we live on is, as many people have stated, major problems like global warming, air pollution, and deforestation. Lots of these problems compare alike to each other because of how negatively it has affected the Earth. They also affect valuable things like wildlife and the animal populations of the planet. Personally I don’t feel as if we as a population have much to account for changing things for the better but I also feel that there is a small percentage of people on this planet that actually care for change and are working to do such things. I think that it is very important for us to take into consideration how we live and how we can strive to be better as healthier humans but honestly I don’t think enough people care to change or feel that their habits matter to the health of the world.

Light pollution has changed many things for us in our lives, such as stars not being as visible as they used to be, even in Kalamazoo, i am not able to see stars nearly as much as i can when going up north, and even there they have become noticeably less visible since i was a child, being even worse when you get to large cities, such as New York City, where you are not able to even see one star. One thing that i think we have changed for the better would be the racial discrimination anyone who is not white faces, and though we still have a long way to go, it has gotten a lot better over the years. Absolutely, i think it is our place to worry, especially for things such as climate change, since we are the ones responsible. In a hundred years, i think that the world will have gotten much worse in the sense of climate change, reaching record highs for heat, and in a thousand years, i don't know how much of the world will be left, and i think things will look drastically different.

Humans have transformed the planet both negatively and positively, it's clear that we have made some significant changes. Light pollution is one of the many actions that have changed the natural environment. we disrupt the natural cycles and affect ecosystems just by the excessive lightning of our cities and towns, it disrupts the migration patterns and mating rituals to animals and also affects with the circadian rhythms of humans leading to sleep inconvenience and other health issues. Excessive artificial lighting wastes energy and contributes to greenhouse gas emissions, causing a bigger impact on the change that we are trying to make with climate change and it's important to raise awareness about the negative impacts of light pollution and work towards implementing more solutions that help with the effect on the environment. Though i do believe that we have started the biggest acts on aimed efforts and initiatives on saving our planet and preserving our ecosystems with people becoming more aware and dedicated to taking action for the future health of our world but i also believe that we shouldn't just stop there and that it is still our responsibility as inhabitants of this planet to be mindful of how we live and the impact we have. Our actions have high reaching consequences, not only for ourselves but also for the future generations and the planet as a whole by prioritizing sustainability, conversation, and environmental hardships so that we can strove for a healthier planet.
