The first teacher that is listed in the essay was Brother Dill, the freshman English teacher. Brother Dill would often smack his students whenever they got out of control and because of this he wasn’t very impactful for Rose. The second teacher listed was the gym teacher who was also harsh like Rose’s freshman English teacher. The third teacher in the essay was Mr. Mitropetros, the sophomore English teacher. Mr. Mitropetros would often take more time bragging about his second job, being a parking lot manager, than learning the class curriculum to be able to teach. Because of this, he just gave students books and plays to read during the semester. Mr. Montez was the fourth teacher listed and he was the Spanish teacher. Mr. Montez was a quiet man who didn’t know how to control his class when they got out of hand. The last teacher to be named in the essay was Mr. MacFarland. Unlike the first four teachers, Mr. MacFarland was very impactful to Rose. Mr. MacFarland taught very passionately which grabbed Rose’s attention. He also later helped Rose get into college

In "I Just Wanna Be Average" by Mike Rose, he introduces us to various teachers who left an impact on him during his educational journey. One of these teachers is Jack MacFarland. MacFarland is noteworthy for his unconventional teaching methods that challenged the norm and encouraged critical thinking. Rose also mentions Jose Sanchez, an English teacher who offered Rose a second chance at education after being wrongly placed in a vocational track. Sanchez symbolizes the transformative power of dedicated educators who recognize potential in their students. Another teacher is Horace Hackett, who taught geometry and expanded Rose's horizons by exposing him to creative problem-solving techniques. Hackett's patient and dedicated approach underlines the profound influence a teacher can have on a student's academic growth. Additionally, Rose mentions Brother Dill, an unenthusiastic math teacher whose lack of commitment contrasts with the inspiring teachers he encountered. Brother Dill serves as a reminder of the significance of genuine passion in effective teaching. These educators collectively illustrate Rose's diverse experiences and his belief in the potential of educators to shape students' lives.

The first teacher Rose writes about was his gym teacher who was not named, this teacher was aggressive and abrasive with his teaching style. Next was his English teacher Mr. Mitropetros who was very unprepared to do his job and to help his students learn in a proper way. His Spanish teacher, Mr. Montez, was next. He was ready to face troubles with having a lively class but was still a teacher that created an enjoyable work environment. Mr. Gross was the next teacher, who had given me the impression of being respected by Rose based on how he wrote about his teacher. This teacher was able to educate his students in a way that felt like he had actually cared about wanting the students to learn something. Finally, Mr. McFarland was portrayed as Rose's favorite because of his ability to help him reach his full potential to succeed as a student.

In ¨I Just Wanna Be Average¨ by Mike Rose, Rose has different teachers which he describes as good and bad teachers. The first teacher he talks about is the gym teacher who´s name was not mentioned. The gym teacher seems pretty harsh and abusive towards his students. The next teacher is Mr.Mitropetros, who taught sophomore English. Parking cars was his night job at the Shrine Auditorium and he had little training in English; so his lesson plans for school was read a text assigned by the district and when finished have the students switch parts again and again which made his class pointless to Rose. The following teacher is Mr. Montez who taught Spanish I. His class was badly behaved and Mr. Montez did not now how to control the students. Finally Mr. MacFarland, he encouraged Rose to focus in school and to push himself to his limits. He was very passionate about his job and inspired and helped Rose prepare for college.

In the essay " I just wanna be average" by Mike Rose, Rose was accidentally placed on a vocational track which was for students who don't do very well in school or as they described it as “ bottom level.” Most of the teachers he had didn’t care about teaching them in a way they would learn so basically gave up on them knowing there's no way they can learn because of how low they are. His homeroom teacher, Brother Dill was very abusive; it didn't take him till two months to hit him and make fun of his last name. Second, his sophomore English class with Mr. Mitropetros said his class was so easy that they would finish their assignment early and just repeat them until the end of the year. Third, Spanish 1 with Mr. Montez with a soft-spoken and delicate voice mostly having to deal with the troubled teens behavior in his class. Then, Brother Clint who teaches chemistry slows down his material so MIke can understand his material. Lastly, Mr. MacFarland who taught senior English. MIke grew to like the class and became better with the assistance of the teacher and working to get him into college.

Rose speaks of many teachers, few of them actually adequate at teaching. The first was Brother Dill, who was paranoid and abusive, and the second a previous high school linebacker turned gym teacher, who was also physically abusive. Then he mentions Mr. Mitropetros, who wasn’t trained to teach English and assigned them classical texts. With the next teacher, Mr. Montez, Rose saw a class finally break their teacher, and it didn’t feel as victorious as he might have thought it would. Brother Slattery actually tried to teach them world history, quizzing them weekly. In Biology, Rose’s teacher was Brother Clint, and it was him who realized Rose’s potential and got him bumped to College Prep classes. The most important teacher Rose probably ever had was Jack MacFarland, who helped him realize his passion and talent for writing and literature. It was him who got Rose into college, and developed him into the writer that he is.

In "I Just Wanna be Average", Rose describes his educational experience, and his different teachers. The first teacher that Rose talks about was his homeroom freshman English teacher, Brother Drill. Rose describes Brother Drill as troubled, and unstable, and explains how he was occasionally abusive towards his students. The next teacher Rose describes was his PE teacher who was a stubby ex-lineman, who would hit them with paddles to "make them men". The next teacher was Mr. Mitropetros, who taught sophomore English, he was a large man who managed the parking lot and had little qualifications to be an English teacher. Next, Mr. Montez who taught Spanish I, he was a tiny man who was not able to manage his rowdy classroom, and would just tap his pencil on his desk. Mr. Gross, was a good teacher and taught them the true jib skills. Brother Slattery was stern and tried to teach his students, however had difficulty actually engaging them. Brother Clint was very serious about learning, and made his class tough. Lastly Mr. MacFarland seemed very passionate with teaching, and came into Rose's life at the perfect time, and became a role model to Rose.

Rose talks about his classmates and his teachers, the good and bad ones. The first teacher he introduced was his English teacher, Brother Dill, who was “a troubled and unstable man.” He was said to be very loud, and when his class strayed from his lesson plan, he raised his voice to get them back. He also said that on certain occasions he lost control and would shake and smack his students. The second teacher he introduced is his gym teacher, who he described as “pretty tough” and seemed to be a bully with little to no love for his students. His third teacher was his sophomore English teacher, Mr. Mitropetros, “he was a big guy, he bragged a lot, he ran a parking lot,” and then he introduced Mr. Montez, who was a small and quiet guy. Mr Montez was calm and collected and showed no signs of violence. The fourth teacher he introduced was Mr. Gross, who seemed to be one of those teachers who actually cared about teaching kids the right way and seemed to enjoy doing his job.

The second teacher Rose talks about is his Physical Education teacher, his physical education teacher would also abuse him and his classmates. The next teacher in Rose's life was his English teacher Mr. Mitropetros. This teacher was arrogant and egotistical, but also very unprepared to teach English class. Then he had a Spanish Teacher Mr. Montez who was soft spoken and patient. The next teacher he had was Mr. Gross who he viewed as an exceptional teacher because he developed his students thinking skills. Another teacher he had was Brother Slattery who was a hard working teacher but didn't know how to engage the kids minds.

The first teacher Rose talks about was the unnamed gym teacher, this teacher seemed very aggressive, and hard on his students, he even struck them with a paddle. The next teacher he talks about was Mr. Mitropetros who was his English teacher, who always flexed about all the famous people he met, and Rose talks about how he was not quite suit to be a teacher, as he did pointless lessons, and would lose his temper and smack his students. The next teacher was his Spanish teacher Mr. Montez, he couldn't control his students, which led to a resignation. All of those teachers sucked, so lets talk about the one Rose liked, Mr. MacFarland, and English teacher. In the beginning Rose didn't take him serious, but it turned out that he was a great teacher, that motivated and cared for Rose. He even helped Rose get into college, and was very dedicated to the success of his students.

In Mike Rose's "I Just Want To Be Average", we are given a set of different teachers who are supposed to give insight into Mike Roses education and how these teachers affected him positively or negatively. The first teacher we are introduced to is named Brother Dill and he was Mike's homeroom teacher. Mike described him as a teacher with an extreme lack of teaching experience who had a very short and hot temper and used his voice to keep the class with him while teaching. Mike did not like Brother Dill and he was one of the negative impact teachers. The next teacher mentioned was not given a name but taught gym at Mike's school. He was an extremely abusive teacher who would often hit students and make fun of them. This included Rose who got made fun of because of his name. The next teacher mentioned was Rose's English teacher his sophomore year named Mr. Mitropetros and from Rose's description the teacher did not seem prepared at all. He was unqualified which was very noticeable to his students. Mike Rose had a negative view on him as well. Mr. Montez was introduced next and although he started off with what seemed to be a control over his class even though they were rowdy was then destroyed after an incident with two students. He did seem to know what he was doing in the teaching aspect though. Mr.Gross is the first teacher introduced that seemed to have positive impact on Rose's education. He did a lot of things in his class that inspired Rose and helped push him forward. The last teacher mentioned is Mr. McFarland, he started off rocky but then became a respected teacher.

Throughout "I Just Wanna be Average," Rose explains many different teachers that have affected him in many different ways. First, he talks about his homeroom, supervised by Brother Dill, who was very unstable and abusive to children, Rose says that just after two months of being there he received a slap that had his glasses falling to the floor. Similarly, came his PE teacher, an ex-lineman who played pro, and was also very abusive. Next, came his Sophomore English teacher, Mr. Mitropetros, who had very little knowledge in how to teach the class, causing them to read the same play multiple times throughout the semester. Then came a new teacher, who taught his Spanish class, Mr. Montez, being very tiny and soft-spoken, though he always came prepared for the class, it came to be that he was not able to control the class, causing it to become very rowdy. Finally, was Mr. Macfarland, who though from the beginning almost seemed to be living out of his car, was very passionate about teaching his job and actually caring for the children, having the greatest impact on Rose, really showing his dedication to his students, even helping him get into college.

In "I Just Wanna Be Average", by Mike Rose, Rose talks about his educational experience on how at school there are good and bad teachers. The first teacher he mentioned was his homeroom teacher Brother Dill. Brother Dill was a troubed and unstable man who would smack or shake students as harsh forms of punishment. The second teacher that was mentioned was the PE teacher who would routinely hit the students with paddles to "toughen them". The third teacher mentioned was Rose's sophomore English teacher, Mr. Mitropetros. This teacher had little training in English, so his students would read the required text repeatedly throughout the semester. Then there was the Spanish teacher Mr. Montez who taught Spanish 1 class. He was a tiny man and was soft-spoken and stuggled to control a rowdy class. Next there was Mr. Gross, who was a good teacher that taught the students skills that they would use in real life. The final teacher mentioned is Mr. Macfarland who is the teacher that had the most influence on Rose. He pushed rose to do better and wanted to see him succeed. Mr. Macfarland was dedicated to his students, for example taking time to get Rose into college.

The first teacher Rose talks about in this essay is called Brother Dill, the freshman English teacher. He is a bit unhinged, and doesn't seem like a very good teacher. He would yell at the class when they got rowdy, which was apparently pretty often, and would even hit kids if he got too angry. The second teacher is a nameless PE teacher, who was even worse. He would routinely hit the students in the butt with a paddle to "turn them into men." The next teacher is the Sophomore English teacher Mr. Mitropetros. Who apparently wasn't even well trained in English, and just had the students read the same exact play over and over again. Next is the Spanish teacher Mr. Montez, who was delicate and soft-spoken, but always prepared to take on a rowdy class. Then was Mr. Gross in Horace's Compromise, who is described as an exceptional teacher and taught very effectively. Brother Slattery had a Stern voice and would give the students a weekly quiz to teach World History. Brother Clint, the biology teacher always had control over his classes, and seemed to have a good impact on Rose. The last teacher Rose talks about was Mr. MacFarland, the Senior English teacher. He assigned tons of work, multiple essays a month, a book every couple weeks. But this strategy of teaching really worked for Rose.

In " i just wanna be average" rose talk about his teacher. His homeroom was supervised by Brother Dill. He describes as a unstable man. Rose hasn’t been attending that class due to him slapping him, because he lost his control/temper. Gym teacher wasnt given a name but it was harsh. He would routinely had them grab their ankle while receive a paddle across their butt. Mr.mitropetro had a little training in English. He made them read Julius Caesar and have a play. they finished before the 20 week so he repeated the work. Spanish teacher is Mr. Montez
